Hey! RTX 5080 Black Friday 2025 hunters, any leads yet? I'm hoping to snag one next year. What kind of deals did you see on similar cards this year? Trying to figure out what to expect.

Honestly, in my experience, expecting a big discount on a flagship like that during its first Black Friday is usually a recipe for disappointment. I've been building rigs for over fifteen years now, and I've learned that the newest top-tier cards rarely see more than a tiny price cut in their first year. I actually tried waiting for a deal on my previous high-end card and ended up missing the stock entirely when the sale finally hit. It was a total mess... ended up waiting months for a restock while prices actually went up. Now I basically just focus on reliability over everything else. I'd much rather pay full price at launch for a card from a brand known for solid cooling than gamble on a sketchy Black Friday special model that might have cut corners to hit a price point. My current setup has lasted me way longer than any of the deals I hunted in the past because I stopped chasing the discount and started looking at the build quality instead. Early production runs can be finicky too, so keep that in mind if you're planning to jump in early next year. Reliability beats a $50 discount every single time, ngl.

Forget the 5080, honestly. Over the years, I've learned chasing the newest GPU isn't worth it. Instead, consider a used RTX 3080 Ti. I snagged one for under $400 last year. Performance is still killer, and you avoid the new-release price gouge. Just my two cents from a long-time builder.

Instead of the 5080, consider a used 3090 Ti. They're often cheaper (around $700 now) and still crush most games. Worth checking benchmarks to see if it works for you!

Black Friday? Nice! But be careful. Check used RTX 3080s first. Value per dollar might be way better, even next year. Could save you, like, $400!
