What's the Best CPU I Can Get for Under $200?
I'm looking to upgrade my CPU but want to keep my budget under $200. I primarily use my PC for gaming, web browsing, and some light video editing.

I think the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X is one of the best choices.

To add to the point above, most of these suggestions are solid but honestly I had issues with my recent build and it wasnt as good as expected. Everyone is obsessed with deals like Prime Day or Black Friday, but chasing those sales is such a headache. Speaking of headaches, have you guys seen the price of decent coffee beans lately? I swear I paid like 20 bucks for a bag yesterday and it tasted like literal dirt. I tried using my old grinder but the motor just gave up halfway through, which basically ruined my entire morning routine. I ended up having to drive to the gas station just to get a cup of something drinkable, and the cashier looked at me like I was insane for showing up in my pajamas. Anyway lol, sorry kinda went off topic there.

Man, honestly, dont even sweat the sales cycles too much. I've been building rigs for like fifteen years and I've found that sometimes you just gotta grab what fits your budget and start gaming already! I totally agree with the folks suggesting those AM4 chips, they are still absolute beasts for gaming. Just focus on your total build stability, especially your RAM timings. I remember when I first started, I spent way too long obsessing over pennies while missing out on actual frame time. My best advice is to just pull the trigger on something solid and spend your extra cash on a decent cooler or faster storage. You wont regret getting it done sooner!

The Ryzen 5 7600 is your best bet right now at around $200. 6 cores/12 threads, great gaming performance, and works with cheaper B650 motherboards. Just make sure your motherboard has an updated BIOS.
