For individuals who frequently find themselves in environments where their iPhone 12 might be exposed to water, a reliable waterproof case is essential. Which cases offer the best waterproofing without hindering the device's functionality? Are there options that also provide shock resistance and dust protection? How do these cases affect the touch sensitivity and clarity of the screen? Insights into user experiences with waterproof cases would be greatly appreciated.

honestly i've had some bad luck with the high-end waterproof cases lately. the expensive ones feel like a total rip-off when the rubber seals start peeling after a few months... super disappointing. if you want to save some cash, there are way better ways to go about it without spending 80 bucks.

  • <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Spidercase+ iPhone+12+Waterproof+Case&linkCode=osi&t=t=5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Spidercase iPhone 12 Waterproof Case is my current favorite for a budget pick. its basically a tank and costs way less than the big name brands. screen clarity is fine but you'll definitely notice the touch sensitivity isn't perfect.
  • if you're just worried about beach trips, grab a JOTO Universal Waterproof Pouch. i've used these for years and they never leak. plus they're dirt cheap compared to a full case.
  • <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Oterkin+ iPhone+12+Waterproof+Case&linkCode=osi&t=t=5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Oterkin iPhone 12 Waterproof Case is another decent option that wont break the bank. just a heads up that call quality usually sucks on all of these because the mics are covered. its the price you pay for keeping the water out i guess.

I totally agree that having a reliable case is essential for peace of mind. I'm always super nervous about water damage so I've spent some time testing these out. Here are a few things I noticed:

  • The shock resistance is usually a huge plus since they're built like tanks.
  • Touch sensitivity might feel a bit different but you get used to it.
  • Dust stays out completely because of the seals. Honestly, just make sure you do a sink test with a paper towel inside first. It really helps you feel more confident before taking it near any actual water tho.

Just saw this thread and wanted to chime in based on my last beach trip. > How do these cases affect the touch sensitivity and clarity of the screen? Honestly, its a bit of a trade-off. I used a heavy-duty sealable one for a week and noticed the screen looked kinda oily because of the air gap between the plastic and the glass. It wasnt a dealbreaker but definitely something to watch out for if youre picky about display quality. Also, be careful with the audio quality. My experience was that everyone I called said I sounded like I was underwater even when the phone was bone dry lol. I would suggest testing the microphone with a voice memo as soon as you snap it on. You might want to consider how often you actually need that level of seal because it makes swiping from the bottom of the screen a real pain sometimes. Just make sure to double check the O-rings for hair or lint... even one tiny piece of grit can ruin the whole seal and lead to a bad day.
