so i just bought this ipad for college and im honestly so annoyed at how expensive the extras are. i have like 100 bucks left for the month and classes start next tuesday so i need to decide fast. my logic was getting the official magic keyboard but that blows my whole budget so i was thinking maybe:

  • esr folio and a separate cheap keyboard
  • the logitech combo touch if i can find a deal
  • just a rugged case and a knockoff stylus

is the trackpad even worth it for notes? the apple pencil price is a joke so i might just get a 25 dollar one from amazon... idk if i should get one nice thing or a bunch of cheap ones.

In my experience, trackpads on cheap cases are usually garbage and laggy... skip the combo touch unless u find a massive steal.

  • Jamjake Stylus Pen for iPad Active Stylus
  • Arteck HB030B Universal Slim Bluetooth Keyboard
  • MoKo Case for iPad Pro 11 Inch Slim Shell Going with separate bluetooth stuff is better tho since u can move the screen around. Honestly, those cheap pens feel exactly the same for basic note taking in class anyway.

> my logic was getting the official magic keyboard but that blows my whole budget Honestly, skip the magic keyboard for now. I've been using iPads for school for years and you'll definitely regret blowing your whole month's cash on just one accessory. I would suggest going with something like the ESR iPad Pro 11 Inch Rebound Magnetic Case because it's cheap and keeps the screen safe while you're in class. For typing, just grab a separate bluetooth keyboard. Make sure to be careful with those super cheap knockoff pencils tho... some dont have palm rejection and it will drive you crazy when you're trying to write. I'd grab a Logitech K380 Multi-Device Bluetooth Keyboard instead of the expensive combo touch. It's way cheaper and basically indestructible. The trackpad is a nice luxury, but totally not a must-have for just taking notes.
