Im so stoked to get this desk finished but my new dual-monitor rig is totally killing my current hub! My logic was the 10Gbps bandwidth would be enough but it just flickers. Budget is $100 and I need it by Friday for a project... what hub actually handles multiple high-speed peripherals without dying?

Late to the party but that flickering usually happens because of bandwidth saturation or poor power delivery. Make sure your power brick is at least 85W to keep things stable when you plug in high-speed drives. Ive had good luck with the Anker 565 11-in-1 USB-C Hub for dual setups. It supports Display Stream Compression which helps a ton with those bandwidth limits. Lmk if you need more spec details.

Be careful with cheap chipsets that struggle with MST. I would suggest the CalDigit SOHO Dock USB-C Gen 2 because it manages signal integrity and bandwidth way more reliably.

Man i totally get that struggle. I went through a few cheap hubs before i finally found something that actually holds up for my dual display setup. It is honestly so satisfying when everything finally just works without that annoying flickering. I am super happy with how my desk setup is running now and it works well every single day. I would just stick with Anker for this kind of thing. Honestly you cant really go wrong with their gear and i have had zero complaints since making the switch.

  • they actually handle the power delivery properly
  • stays way cooler than the off-brand stuff
  • ports are spaced out well for thicker cables Just grab any of their higher-end hubs that fits your budget and you should be good to go by Friday. It made a world of difference for my workflow and stopped all my display issues instantly.
