For a budget-conscious RX 6600 XT build, the Ryzen 5 7600X offers excellent price-to-performance. It avoids bottlenecking the GPU while keeping costs down.

Honestly, I've been looking at the market trends lately and I'm always a bit cautious about jumping into the absolute newest platforms for a budget build like this. If you want the safest bet for that 6600 XT, sticking with an all-AMD setup usually makes things a bit smoother for compatibility (at least that's what worked for me). Intel is definitely an option too, but you really have to keep an eye on the motherboard prices because those can sneak up on you and ruin the whole budget aspect of the build. Basically, I'd just look at any mid-range chip from either brand that's been out for a year or two. You don't really need the cutting-edge stuff to avoid bottlenecks with that card, and going with a slightly older, proven platform is usually a lot more reliable for your wallet in the long run. Just pick a brand you trust and go with their mid-tier stuff and you'll be fine.
