I'm in the process of building a new gaming rig, and I've already decided on getting an RTX 3060 Ti for my GPU. Now, I'm trying to figure out the best CPU to pair with it for optimal performance without breaking the bank. I'm looking for a processor that won't bottleneck the 3060 Ti but also won't be overkill. My main use will be gaming at 1440p, with some light streaming and video editing on the side.

Like someone mentioned, there is a big mix of AMD and Intel stuff being suggested here. Honestly seems like you cant go wrong with either side since the X3D chips are great for gaming but the Intel ones handle the extra tasks well too. Im pretty satisfied seeing these options because they all seem like safe, reliable bets that wont break anything or cause weird stutters. Before you pull the trigger though, what is your actual budget for the whole platform? Also are you more focused on a chip that runs cool and quiet or do you just want raw power for the video editing part?

14600K is a good choice for 1440p gaming.
