I'm having trouble with my Huawei Premia 4G M931 and I think a hard reset might help. Can anyone provide a step-by-step guide on how to perform a hard reset on this device? Any tips or precautions I should be aware of before proceeding? Thanks in advance!

> I'm having trouble with my Huawei Premia 4G M931 and I think a hard reset might help. Just saw this thread and wanted to add a quick warning. Be really careful with these older Huawei units. I tried doing this exact thing with a similar model a while back to save some cash instead of upgrading, but I ended up stuck on a login screen because I forgot my old account details. It was a nightmare trying to bypass it. Honestly, you might want to consider just looking this up on YouTube. I remember seeing a really solid video about this specific model once... just search for Huawei Premia 4G M931 reset guide and it should be one of the top results. Seeing someone actually press the buttons helps way more than reading text, especially since the timing for the recovery menu can be super finicky. Just make sure to back up your stuff first or you're gonna lose everything.

Hard Reset via Recovery Mode

  1. Power Off the Device: Press the Power button to turn off your phone.
  2. Enter Recovery Mode: Press and hold the Power button and the Volume Up button simultaneously for a few seconds.
  3. Release the Power Button: As soon as the Huawei logo appears, release the Power button but continue holding the Volume Up button.
  4. Access Recovery Menu: Release the Volume Up button when the recovery mode appears.
  5. Navigate to Wipe Data/Factory Reset: Use the Volume buttons to scroll and the Power button to select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset."
  6. Confirm the Reset: Again, use the Volume buttons to navigate and the Power button to confirm the selection.
  7. Reboot the Device: After the reset is complete, select "Reboot system" using the Power button. The device will restart, which may take up to 10 minutes.
