Which controllers and headsets are recommended for Xbox Series X?

Ive been gaming on my Series X since launch and honestly the stock controller is starting to feel a bit worn out, like the sticks are getting a little loose which is killing my aim in competitive shooters. I keep looking at the Elite Series 2 but the horror stories about stick drift and bumper issues on reddit have me sweating a bit because I dont wanna drop 150 bucks on something that breaks in six months. Are there actually reliable pro controllers out there or should I just stick with the regular ones?

Same goes for my audio setup. My old turtle beach headset finally died after like four years of service. Im looking for something wireless that wont break the bank, maybe around 150 to 200 dollars max, and it needs to be comfortable for long sessions since I play in my living room here in Chicago with a lot of background noise from my roommates. Ive heard mixed things about the official xbox wireless headset vs the steelseries arctis nova line but it feels like there are too many options to choose from now. Does anyone have a setup they actually trust that wont fail on me after a few months of heavy use?

im so confused right now. i finally convinced my wife to let me buy a console and now i have both a ps5 and a series x in the living room but i have no idea how to get a headset that works for both. i keep hearing that headsets dont always cross over because of some usb chip thing? im a total newbie at this so sorry if this is a dumb question but i need something soon because my neighbors are complaining about the late night noise.

needs to work on both consoles

budget is around 150 bucks

wireless would be great but not a dealbreaker

comfortable for big ears

Ugh, Im honestly so fed up with my current controller setup, the battery life is just non-existent and its driving me crazy during my late night sessions! I finally caved and pre-ordered the Pro, so I figure now is the perfect time to upgrade my whole rig. My logic was that if I'm dropping that much cash, I might as well get the best gear to actually enjoy it. I have about 200 bucks left in the budget for accessories, but everything I find online looks like cheap junk. What are you guys actually using that isnt garbage? Im specifically looking for:

a decent charging station that doesnt look ugly

a headset that wont hurt my ears after an hour

Really hope I can get this sorted before launch day...

I just managed to snag a PS5 Pro for my apartment because I wanted to play GTA VI when it finally drops, but honestly I feel like a total idiot looking at all the random gear online. Honestly, Im losing my mind with these cables everywhere. My living room looks like a total disaster zone because I have two PS4 controllers and they both seem to die right in the middle of a marathon session, especially now that Ive been replaying RDR2 for the last two weeks. I just want a decent charging station so I can finally clear off my coffee table and stop tripping over charging cords.

I went down a rabbit hole on Amazon and read about that official Sony dock, but then I saw a bunch of reviews saying it stops working after like three months or the pins get stuck. Then I looked at the PowerA ones, and while they seem cheap, some people are complaining that they dont actually charge to 100 percent or that the connection is super finicky if you dont line it up perfectly every single time. Im just so annoyed at this point because I dont want to spend fifty bucks on something that is gonna break in a few weeks, but I also dont want some cheap plastic junk that ruins my controller ports.

What are the actual essential upgrades for the Series X because Im losing my mind with these storage limits? I swear I spend more time deleting games than actually playing them and its driving me crazy.
