Ive been gaming on my Series X since launch and honestly the stock controller is starting to feel a bit worn out, like the sticks are getting a little loose which is killing my aim in competitive shooters. I keep looking at the Elite Series 2 but the horror stories about stick drift and bumper issues on reddit have me sweating a bit because I dont wanna drop 150 bucks on something that breaks in six months. Are there actually reliable pro controllers out there or should I just stick with the regular ones?

Same goes for my audio setup. My old turtle beach headset finally died after like four years of service. Im looking for something wireless that wont break the bank, maybe around 150 to 200 dollars max, and it needs to be comfortable for long sessions since I play in my living room here in Chicago with a lot of background noise from my roommates. Ive heard mixed things about the official xbox wireless headset vs the steelseries arctis nova line but it feels like there are too many options to choose from now. Does anyone have a setup they actually trust that wont fail on me after a few months of heavy use?

I finally caved and pre-ordered the Pro, so I figure now is the perfect time to upgrade my whole rig. My logic was that if I'm dropping that much cash, I might as well get the best gear to actually enjoy it. I have about 200 bucks left in the budget for accessories, but everything I find online looks like cheap junk. What are you guys actually using that isnt garbage? Im specifically looking for:

a decent charging station that doesnt look ugly

a headset that wont hurt my ears after an hour

Really hope I can get this sorted before launch day...

Honestly, Im losing my mind with these cables everywhere. My living room looks like a total disaster zone because I have two PS4 controllers and they both seem to die right in the middle of a marathon session, especially now that Ive been replaying RDR2 for the last two weeks. I just want a decent charging station so I can finally clear off my coffee table and stop tripping over charging cords.

I went down a rabbit hole on Amazon and read about that official Sony dock, but then I saw a bunch of reviews saying it stops working after like three months or the pins get stuck. Then I looked at the PowerA ones, and while they seem cheap, some people are complaining that they dont actually charge to 100 percent or that the connection is super finicky if you dont line it up perfectly every single time. Im just so annoyed at this point because I dont want to spend fifty bucks on something that is gonna break in a few weeks, but I also dont want some cheap plastic junk that ruins my controller ports.

Im in the UK and I was hoping to find something reliable under 30 quid since I dont want to dump a fortune into a console thats already on its way out, even if I still use it daily. Im also on a bit of a tight schedule since my brother is coming over for a weekend of gaming at the end of the month and I really want the setup to look clean for once instead of this rats nest of wires. Does anyone actually have one that has lasted them more than a year? Seriously, am I just doomed to keep dealing with these usb cables because every charging dock seems like a total gamble...

I swear I spend more time deleting games than actually playing them and its driving me crazy. I have like three big titles installed and the thing is already screaming at me about being full, which is just ridiculous for a console that cost this much. Im living in a tiny apartment in Chicago so I dont have space for a massive setup, but I really need a better storage solution pronto before I snap.

is that seagate expansion card worth the insane price tag?

are there any decent docks or cooling stands that actually do something besides look cool?

do I need a specific cable if I want to stop my monitor from flickering during intense parts of games?

So I finally managed to secure a PS5 Pro preorder and Im honestly buzzing. Ive been gaming on a base PS4 for years so this is gonna be a massive jump for me. My setup is in my living room where I have a pretty decent 4K OLED, but since I have a cat who loves knocking things over, I need to be careful about how I manage everything.

I went down a rabbit hole on Reddit and saw a ton of people swearing by those all-in-one cooling stands with the built-in charger ports. But then I saw another thread saying those actually block the vents and can mess up the airflow, which sounds like a nightmare for a console this expensive. Im also confused about the storage situation. I see people recommending internal SSDs like the WD Black SN850X, but do I really need that right out of the box or is the internal drive fine for a few months? My budget is roughly 200 bucks for accessories, but I dont wanna waste it on cheap plastic junk that will break in a month.

Here is what I am trying to figure out:

Should I get a dust cover or is that just gonna cause it to overheat?

Is the official Sony charging station actually better than third party ones or am I just paying for the brand name?

What kind of controller grips or thumbsticks are worth it for someone who plays mostly shooters?

I live in the UK so shipping times can be a bit weird sometimes but I want to have everything ready by the time it lands on my doorstep next week. Its my first new console in a long time so I just dont want to screw it up by buying the wrong stuff. Honestly, just tell me what is actually essential and what is just marketing fluff... because Im getting overwhelmed by all these Amazon listings that look identical
