I've been a PlayStation guy since the PS2 days and usually just grab whatever cheap charging dock is on Amazon but I'm having a weird bit of trouble with the PS5 Pro. I managed to snag a Pro last week but my old PowerA dock is being super finicky. It's like the fit is just slightly off now and the charging light keeps blinking red unless I wiggle it forever. I dont know if they changed the shell slightly or if my dock is just dying.

I need a solid cradle that matches the Pro's aesthetics since it's on my main TV stand in my living room. Budget is like $35. Is the official Sony one still the way to go or is there a better third party option that fits the newer DualSense revisions better?

Just dropped a fortune on the PS5 Pro pre-order and now I'm panicking about what else I actually need. I realized way too late it doesn't come with the vertical stand and my media console is way too narrow to lay it flat so I'm terrified of it tipping or overheating. Plus I have a huge stack of physical games so I gotta hunt for that disc drive which seems sold out everywhere in London. Aside from the stand and drive is there anything critical I'm missing for the PSSR features? Do I need a better HDMI 2.1 cable than the one in the box or am I overthinking this? I'm already way over budget...

So my old DualShock 4 finally gave up on me last night, basically the left stick just started drifting so hard I cant even navigate the home screen without it jumping all over the place. Ive been using this specific PS4 Pro since launch and Ive gone through maybe three controllers total, so I know my way around the hardware but man, looking at prices right now is actually depressing. I remember when you could just grab a new one for 40 bucks on sale but now everywhere I look they are like 60 or 70 dollars if they even have the official Sony ones in stock.

I started looking into those third party ones on Amazon but my logic was that if I buy something for 15 dollars its probably gonna have terrible latency or the deadzones will be huge. Im a bit of a stickler for input lag since I play a lot of fighters and some Apex on the side, so I need something that actually responds when I press the button. I was thinking about maybe the Nacon wired ones because I heard the build quality is decent for the price, but I really prefer wireless if I can get it. Is that even possible for under 40 bucks without it being total e-waste?

My budget is strictly 40 dollars because I just had to drop a ton of cash on car repairs here in Seattle and I really cant justify spending more just to play some games in the evening. I saw some brands like Voyee and some other random letter combinations but I honestly dont trust the reviews since they all look like bots. Has anyone found a reliable -player 2- style controller that actually holds up for daily use on a Pro? I dont need the light bar or the internal speaker to be amazing, I just need the sticks to be precise and the triggers not to feel like mushy sponges. My main concern is the bluetooth connection stability on the Pro specifically since I heard some older third party stuff has weird syncing issues with the 7215B model. Any thoughts on what brands are actually legit these days?

I usually know my way around hardware but I’m honestly stuck finding something durable under $90. I need them by Friday for a tournament and I'm located in a small town so I have to order online tonight.

Needs to have a solid USB dongle connection since the base PS4 and Pro both have such flaky Bluetooth sync issues with random brands. I'm mainly playing CoD and need to hear footsteps without that weird buzzing sound cheap sets get. Any ideas?

Which internal SSD expansion thingy do I actually need for my Xbox Series X because my storage is totally full and I cant even download the new Call of Duty update? I am so sorry if this is like a super basic question but I am completely lost and honestly I am getting a bit stressed out because I finally have some time off work this weekend to play but I cant fit anything else on the console. I keep seeing all these different things online like M.2 and expansion cards and external drives and I have no clue what the difference is or if they even work the same way. I tried to look it up on Amazon but there are so many options and some say they wont play the new games? That makes no sense to me like if its plugged in why wouldnt it work?

My buddy said I need an internal one to play the Series X optimized games but then I see these little cards that go in the back and I dont know if thats what he meant. I have about $150 saved up for this and I really need to get it sorted by Friday so I can get everything downloaded. I live out in a rural part of Ohio so my internet is kinda slow and it takes forever to move games back and forth so I just want one big drive where I can leave everything and just click play. Is there one brand thats better than the others? I saw one from Seagate and one from Western Digital and they look identical but the prices are different and I dont want to buy the wrong one and have to mail it back. Also is 1TB enough or should I try to stretch my budget for the 2TB one? I only have like 4 big games right now but they take up so much space its crazy. Someone please explain it to me like I am five because I really dont want to waste my money on something that wont even let me start my games...

I have been trying to figure this out for like three days now and honestly my head is just spinning with all the different options and technical words. I am sorry if this is a super basic question but I really have no idea where to even start with this stuff. I went into a store yesterday and the guy was talking about drivers and hertz and spatial audio and I just nodded like I knew what he meant but I was totally lost lol.

Basically I have an old PS4 in my bedroom that I still use a lot and I finally treated myself to a PS5 for the living room last month. I am tired of using the crappy wired earbuds that came with my phone because the wire is always getting tangled in my controller or hitting my chin when I move. I want one nice wireless headset that I can use for both consoles but I dont know if that is even possible or if I have to buy two separate ones?

I read somewhere that PlayStation doesnt let you use normal Bluetooth headphones like the ones I use for my phone which seems really weird but I guess that is just how they do it. Something about a USB stick you have to plug in? I am located in the US and I have a few specific things I am looking for if anyone can help me pick something out.

Budget: I have about $150 saved up maybe $180 if it is really high quality and will last me a few years.

Setup: It needs to be really easy to use because I am terrible with technology. I just want to plug it in and have it work.

Comfort: I wear glasses and I have a kind of big head so I need something that isnt going to squeeze my brains out after an hour of playing.

Use case: I mostly play single player games like the new Spider-Man and God of War but I play with my brother on the weekends so it needs a decent microphone so he can actually hear me.

Battery: I dont want to have to charge it every single hour because I always forget to plug things in at night.

Is there a specific brand that is better for beginners? I saw the Sony ones called Pulse but some people said they are uncomfortable if you have big ears. If I get one with the USB stick do I have to keep moving the stick back and forth between the two consoles every time I switch rooms? I am really worried I am going to lose that tiny piece...

My current drive just died out of nowhere and I need a replacement by Friday for a gaming weekend.

So I managed to snag a PS5 Pro pre-order finally and now I’m looking at my crusty old wired HyperX Cloud IIs and thinking it’s time to actually go wireless. I’ve been using wired setups for years because of the zero latency thing but the cable is driving me nuts lately. My logic was to just grab the Pulse Elite since they’re made by Sony and have those planar drivers, but I keep seeing people complain about the headband snapping or some weird disconnect issues with the 2.4GHz dongle.

I’m stuck between the Audeze Maxwell and maybe the Nova Pro Wireless. I know the Maxwells are basically the gold standard for sound quality right now but I play for like 4 or 5 hours at a time on Friday nights and I heard they’re basically like wearing a lead brick on your head. My budget is around $350 and I’m really looking for something that plays nice with the Tempest 3D audio without sounding thin or tinny.

My main criteria are:

solid battery life (20+ hours)

breathable ear pads because my place gets hot

low latency for competitive shooters

Do we even know if the Pro does anything special with the audio processing yet? I havent seen much info on that. Just wondering if the Sony Link tech is actually worth it over a standard USB dongle from a brand like SteelSeries or Turtle Beach. I need something that wont make my ears sweat like crazy... wondering if anyone has tried both on the new hardware yet.
