Samsung A697 Sunburst hard reset

Before you buy a new cell phone or new tablet, please try the following procedure to repair your device. First charge your battery, back up your important data if possible and in most cases take out SIM and SD card.

Use this method to hard reset your Samsung A697 Sunburst phone: Enter *2767*3855#. Warning! All your data including contacts, messages etc. will be lost! Copy all your necessary data/Contacts/Messages etc. to SIM or make backup to your PC before full reset! Take out SIM card before full reset.

How Do I Reset My SGH-A697 (Sunburst) Phone?

The Restore Phone option is the same as the Reset Phone option in that all settings are reset to the factory defaults. However, with the Restore Phone option, all user data is permanently deleted.

To reset the handset, to the factory default settings, follow the steps below:

1. From the standby screen, press Menu
2. Press Settings
3. Press Phone
4. Press Reset Phone
5. Press Yes to Reset the handset's settings to the factory defaults
6. Enter the Password then press on OK (Default is last 4 digits of the phone number)
7. If prompted, re-enter the Password to confirm then press on OK

Warning!: All User Data such as contacts, messages, pictures, videos, and music will be permanently deleted. Ensure that the microSD memory card is also removed as it will be erased with the Restore Phone option.

Caution: When performing the Restore Phone option, do not remove your battery until the phone has completed the task and has restarted, otherwise your phone may be damaged.
