Using the Hard Reset
(Factory reset) If your phone does not restore to its original condition, use a Hard Reset (Factory Reset) to initialize it.
1. Turn the power off.
2. Press and hold the Power/Lock key + Volume Down key + Home Key.
3. When the LG Logo appears on the screen, release all keys.

WARNING
If you perform a Hard Reset, all user applications, user data and DRM licenses will be deleted. Please remember to backup any important data before performing a Hard Reset.

Cause: Boot certification verify issue
Try to connect your phone via USB cable in Emergency mode - Follow instructions below on how to connect in emergency mode
You can use LG Mobile Support tool to repair your LG cell phone, after download select menu Customer Support > Recovery Phone (E440)
Connect your phone to the USB cable by pressing the Volume DOWN key and while you holding down the Vol- key connect the cable to the phone.
(The USB cable already connected to the PC) You are in Download mode or software upgrade mode.
Select Options / Upgrade recovery / Emergency upgrade and hopefully it will download the firmware and it will re-flash it. It can take up to several hours! be patient. Normally only minutes.
You may see this error
Upgrade stopped due to an error.
To try upgrade again, follow the steps below.
1. Disconnect the phone from PC and remove the battery from the phone.
2. Insert the battery back and reconnect the phone to PC.
3. Turn on the phone.
4. Press the Retry button below to start the upgrade.
