1. Turn off your Coolpad Quattro 4G phone and pull out battery and reinsert it after a few seconds.

2. Press and hold both Volume DOWN + UP and hit POWER button until "Recovery mode..." showing on the screen.
When the triangle with an exclamation mark appears touch the HOME touch key to enter Recovery menu.

3. Select Factory reset /wipe data. (scroll down with VOL down.)

4. Select with power.

5. Scroll down to Yes -- delete all user data. Press power to confirm.

After all is done press power to reboot system now.

Or if your phone is responding to screen input, then open Settings from the Applications menu. Tap Backup & reset > Factory data reset; click Reset phone and then Erase everything to format your phone.

Firmware upgrade Coolpad Quattro 4G

1. Copy the downloaded firmware in the root directory of the microSD card. Insert it. Make sure the battery has enough power and charge it before the update process.
2. Make sure you powered off your phone.
3. Press and hold both Volume DOWN + UP and hit POWER button until "Recovery mode..." showing on the screen.
When the triangle with an exclamation mark appears touch the HOME touch key to enter Recovery menu. In the menu select "apply update from SD card". Wait until the system updates itself. It may take several minutes. Be patient! Do not interrupt the firmware update process in any way!
