Alcatel One Touch Evo tablet hard reset

When you are unable to power on your Alcatel OT Evo Android tablet, there is a way to perform a factory data reset by using hardware keys.
Press the Volume up key and the power key at same time until the screen lights up. You will see an Android with red axclamation mark! Wait until tablet reboots.

or if the recovery menu appears:

1. Press and hold down the Volume up key and the Power key at the same time until a menu screen appears.
2. Select Recovery using power button.
3. Use the Volume down key to navigate to wipe data/factory reset.
4. Press the Power button to select this option.
5. Press Volume down to select "Yes -- delete all user data".
6. Press Power button to select.
The tablet will reset.

Tips: please make sure that all the important data have been backed-up before you run factory data reset, for this function will eraser all apps and data that user installed; and remaining the battery is more than 50%.

1. Press the RESET hole next to the micro SD slot on the side of the tablet.

2.Long press the Power key about 10 seconds to shut down your device. Then press the Power key to restart.

General advice: Before you buy a new cell phone or new tablet, please try the following procedure to repair your device in a software way. First charge your battery, backup your important data if possible and in most cases take out SIM and SD card before doing factory reset. It is impossible to recover your data after doing a hard reset, so online backup is always important. For all of your data, a backup should be done on an external device, hard drive, raid system or media. In some cases, you can delete the forgotten password or lock pattern from your device as well. All information is for devices with stock based ROMs. If you are using rooted device, always back up your EFS folder first, containing your IMEI info, etc.! Please also note, that a hard reset operation will not unlock your mobile phone's SIM lock or network lock, but it will remove the unlock pattern, remove the user password or PIN password (NOT the SIM card's 4 digit PIN code). Also note that the firmware version will not be affected in any way, it will not be downgraded, it will remain the same you are using and if you have rooted your device, root privileges remain also unaffected.
